There are some things that just can’t be learned in the classroom. 🔍 🐛

“Day on the Creek”, hosted annually by the Waterton Biosphere, teaches children about the environment and how to protect it. Some of the topics that are included are:

  • Traditional First Nations knowledge
  • Local ecosystems
  • Human impact
  • Watershed
  • The archeology, history, and geology of Pincher Creek
  • and so much more!

This year Pincher Creek hosted almost 800 K-9 students which was made possible by over 80 presenters and volunteers – including 11 of Pieridae’s own.

Thank you to those who volunteered for this event, you make Pieridae (and this world) a better place!
