Supporting the Waterton Biosphere Reserve Association's Day on the Creek
Yesterday we were pleased to continue the tradition of supporting the Waterton Biosphere Reserve Association’s Day on the Creek!
Volunteers from the Waterton Plant once again lent a hand with presentations, information tables and general support, helping to make the day a great success! Many of the Pieridae volunteers have school-aged children in the area themselves and appreciate all the hard work and planning that goes into such a big event. Hundreds of students come together to learn about the environment and history along Pincher Creek and explore the importance of watershed stewardship.
Some of the fun presentations our volunteers were involved with included “Fishing 101”, Riparian and Aquatic Ecosystems, Bat Ecosystems, and a local history walk.
