Shantz Sulpher Plant Purchases Steer from Carstairs and Cremona 4-H Club, Donates to Food Bank

Last month, the Shantz Sulphur Plant continued a 20-year tradition of purchasing a steer from the Carstairs and Cremona 4-H club to donate to the Mountain View Food Bank. Previously carried out by former employee Brent Tannas, this year Shantz foreman Paul Smith arranged the purchase and Indigenous Relations Manager Thalia Aspeslet was present to receive it.
Events like the Show and Sale help young people actively learn and engage meaningfully in their communities - communities where our employees live and work. We take pride in supporting these local initiatives.
