Supporting the Veterans Food Bank
Helping Those Who Protected Our Country at the Most Important Time of the Year
It is more important than ever during the holiday season this year to be compassionate and caring to those in our communities. Employees in our Calgary office got together to gather donations for the Veterans Food Bank throughout the month of November.
Katrina, the brilliant woman who organized it all, recently dropped off the much-needed food items and other donations with the help of her children.
The Veterans Food Bank is a 100% volunteer-run service that provides great support to Veterans in and around the city. The Foodbank strives to restore dignity to all who use their service.
“Christmas is going to look different this year for many of us,” said Katrina. "But what will always remain is our ability to be kind, generous and helpful to all humankind. Covid-19 definitely made things different but generosity still spreads far and wide.
“Not only do the Veterans who will receive the donations, but my children as well also learn, watch and see the meaning in selfless acts of kindness. My daughter was over the moon to be able to help deliver all our contributions to the sorting center; my heart as a mother could not have been fuller in terms of a company that comes together in this way.”
