Pieridae Partners with Stoney Nakoda Food Bank
Building Partnerships That Last
Pieridae’s Calgary office and the Jumping Pound plant have been collecting food items for weeks; on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 they were received by the Stoney Nakoda Food Bank to help community members in need.
In total, Pieridae donated over 900lbs of food.
Nine volunteers from the Calgary office also headed west to volunteer with various tasks at the food bank, including gardening, sorting items and cleaning. The volunteers were happy to get out of the city for the day to lend a helping hand.
While there, Pieridae staff assembled 30 hampers that went out to families in the area.
The community-operated Stoney Nakoda Food Bank is a charitable society committed to assisting impoverished community members to meet their nutritional needs in a respectful and confidential manner.
Pieridae is glad for the partnership, and others like it, as we strive to demonstrate our commitment to being a good neighbour in the communities where we operate.
