Improving Medical Services in Caroline, Alberta
Pieridae Social Investment Fund Helping Caroline Health & Wellness Centre
Rural Albertans often drive long distances to see a doctor, get a massage, have their hearing checked or many other much needed healthcare services. Organizations such as the Caroline Health & Wellness Centre help provide local residents with what they need all without a long commute.
Over 300 people in Caroline use the Health & Wellness Centre, with more people coming in from the surrounding areas. Pieridae Energy is helping to ensure people will continue to receive these services for years to come by providing the centre with financial support through our Social Investment Fund.
“This funding will allow us to continue to improve the medical services that we offer for our small community,” said Christa Trimble from the Caroline & District Chamber of Commerce. “Without community assistance our Health & Wellness Centre would not be in operation.”
The facility offers family doctors, a chiropractor, mental health counselling, massage therapy, a hearing clinic, addictions counselling and a public health nurse. It is also supported by doctors from the Moose & Squirrel clinic based in Sundre.
