Supporting the Stoney Nakoda Nation

Helping Achieve Food Security

Maintaining strong community relationships is integral at any time, but especially during times of crisis.

One of those key relationships is with the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. While we couldn’t physically donate our time and efforts at the Nation, we could support where appropriate.

There was a need to provide personal protective equipment such as masks and sanitizing supplies along with boots and coveralls. Pieridae met that need.

We also provided financial support to set up the Support Centre for Nation members, as well as a donation to the food bank.

“The monetary donation of $5500 was essential in helping provide food essentials that were put together into hampers and provided to each of the three reserves (Morley, Big Horn and Eden Valley) and those off-nation. The food security Pieridae was able help support was essential in assisting our nation members. The donations made it easier for our businesses to keep their doors open and in addition to providing services to the community during the lockdown.  Currently, there is no outbreak in our community and your donation helped further secure the health and safety of our community. Stoney Nakoda Nation remains grateful for your support.

Valerie"
